| I Important Department Announcement LegionCare- Enhanced No Cost AD program Dear Legion Members, Your Department of The American Legion is excited to announce LegionCare; the newly enhanced Accidental Death benefit created exclusively for Legion Members. LegionCare is now available at absolutely NO-Cost to you. LegionCare provides you with:• $5,000 in Accidental Death Coverage for covered accidents that occur if you are traveling on official Legion business. $1,000 for all other covered accidents. 24/7 protection that covers Legionnaires at home, at work and while they are travelling away from home available for all Legion Members in your Department. We enhanced this benefit in 2012 from up to $1,500 in protection to up to $5,000 in protection because our program is dedicated to providing each and every Legion Member with quality benefits. IMPORTANT: You must activate your $5,000 in protection in order to be covered. An activation postcard will be provided to you in your Membership Renewal kit. You may also activate their coverage by going online to www.theLIT.com. Once you have activated this coverage, it will be in force through August 31,2016! Our goal is to ensure that every Legionnaire in your Department activates this protection.
