| The ALR is currently waiting for an order of business cards that as we travel around to the homes and into the different areas we are trying to be involved with, we will have a way to give people a contact point for issues like Mr Mc or for just helping to maybe generate an interest in Post 21. There is also an order of refrigerator style magnets that we plan to get with the same intentions as for the business cards. We also are planing on visiting at least 1 nursing home in WVa in the spring which I will help make the arrangements for that visit. We would like to maybe have it be a group effort involving maybe one or two of the ALR groups in WVA. State lines shouldn't separate us as legion members!!!!! We also are in the process of having a custom made marker to be embedded in the 2 foot square block of marble attained by ALR 21 and provided by the memorial organization for the $ 1,000.00 donation to that memorial cause. This marker commemorating the ALR while honoring our MIA / POW comrades will be the first produced by the American Legion flag and emblem sales and will then be available by special order to any ALR group nationwide. This is a point of pride for all at Post 21. On behalf of the membership at ALR 21 we want to commend our newly elected officers for a fine start in 2012. It is our goal to spread the good news of what the American Legion is really about, HELPING VETERANS and our communities and one another which goes without saying. I am extremely proud of this group in its infancy stage and what has been achieved by our members many of whom bring ideas that are then formulated planned and executed. We are a young group but have been able to do great things for many in a short time. I also want to extend an invitation to our newest members of Post 21 to check out the ALR and especially those who own a motorcycle. This isn't a Harley D exclusive club. If it has two wheels, can be licensed and insured then it qualifies you to be part of this fine group and we would love to add to our membership base those that have just come home from war and you will find that there are some of your generations veterans and active duty already involved with ALR21. Come to one of our meetings or tag along with us to a nursing home and see for yourself what we are striving to be about, Americans caring about Americans! Special thanks to ALL our members who sacrifice so much, to do the things that help change our communities and make America a better place. Post level elections aren't to far off so start thinking about our goals and hopes for our post. Everyone isn't involved but need to be and if you are a member of post 21 whether ALR or regular member please try and make our meetings. There are many issues as with any organization but change doesn't happen on its own. It takes not only leadership to guide the rudder of Post 21 but more importantly it takes an effort from the entire membership to attain our goals. Last We at ALR 21 want to thank the leadership and membership of AL Post 21 for making it possible for us to exist and special thanks to Harry and Judy Stine for the dream they had and the guts to GITER' DONE.
